The S70MD314 is an AS568-314 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.725 in (18.42 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.145 in (29.08 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.
The material holds up against many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. Silicone is specified for physiological inertness and low toxicity, an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.
The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include electronics and electrical enclosures, ovens and heated equipment, and food and beverage processing.
This item is sold individually under part number S70MD314. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 3/4 inch. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation.
