S70MD328 is an AS568-328 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.85 in (46.99 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.27 in (57.66 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Silicone is specified for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. The compound resists weathering, many oxidizing chemicals, and extreme heat and cold. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.
