An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Silicone offers physiological inertness and low toxicity, an exceptionally wide service temperature range. The compound resists dry heat, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving concentrated acids or steam above its rated range call for a different compound.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
