-343 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD343 is an AS568-343 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.725 in (94.62 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.145 in (105.28 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in concentrated acids or steam above its rated range.
