APG stocks the S70MD360, an AS568-360 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.85 in (148.59 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.27 in (159.26 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone delivers physiological inertness and low toxicity, an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Expect good resistance to weathering, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Exposure to steam above its rated range or concentrated acids will shorten service life.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include sanitary process lines, medical devices, and food and beverage processing.
