S70MD376 is an AS568-376 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 9.725 in (247.02 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.145 in (257.68 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Silicone is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and exceptionally wide service temperature range. The material holds up against dry heat, extreme heat and cold, and many oxidizing chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include food and beverage processing, ovens and heated equipment, and sanitary process lines.
