Product Specification

-
S70MD383 is an AS568-383 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 13.975 in (354.97 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.395 in (365.63 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and very good compression set resistance across its range. Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C).

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, and food and beverage processing.

Stocked as S70MD383 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 14 inch. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
