This o-ring is supplied in AS568-393 red Silicone 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 23.94 in (608.08 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 24.36 in (618.74 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD393. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone offers very good compression set resistance across its range and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. The material holds up against extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and ozone and UV exposure. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
