-400 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-400 red Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 1.35 in (34.29 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.9 in (48.26 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD400. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Silicone is widely chosen for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. The material holds up against ozone and UV exposure, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where steam above its rated range or concentrated acids are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in ovens and heated equipment, sanitary process lines, and food and beverage processing.
