This o-ring is supplied in AS568-401 red Silicone 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 1.475 in (37.47 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.025 in (51.44 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD401. It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

The material holds up against ozone and UV exposure, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone offers flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or hydrocarbon fuels and oils are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food and beverage processing.
