The S70MD404 is an AS568-404 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.85 in (46.99 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.4 in (60.96 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.
As a material, Silicone delivers excellent electrical insulating properties and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The compound resists many oxidizing chemicals, weathering, and dry heat. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service.
