Silicone is specified for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. This material stands up to ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and many oxidizing chemicals. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils.
