-414 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Part number S70MD414 is an AS568-414 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.1 in (78.74 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.65 in (92.71 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists weathering, extreme heat and cold, and many oxidizing chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone delivers an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in abrasive dynamic service or steam above its rated range.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in food and beverage processing, ovens and heated equipment, and medical devices.
