Ordered as S70MD418, this is an AS568-418 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.15 in (105.41 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Silicone is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The compound resists weathering, extreme heat and cold, and many oxidizing chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
