-421 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Ordered as S70MD421, this is an AS568-421 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.975 in (100.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.525 in (114.94 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

It resists many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and weathering. Silicone is valued for excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Applications involving hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range call for a different compound.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across ovens and heated equipment, food and beverage processing, and medical devices.
