-425 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD425 is an AS568-425 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.475 in (113.67 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.025 in (127.64 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and many oxidizing chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone offers an exceptionally wide service temperature range and excellent electrical insulating properties. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Exposure to concentrated acids or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, and sanitary process lines.
