Ordered as S70MD436, this is an AS568-436 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.85 in (148.59 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.4 in (162.56 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone offers very good compression set resistance across its range and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. The compound resists weathering, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
