-438 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD438 is an AS568-438 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 6.225 in (158.12 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.775 in (172.09 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and very good compression set resistance across its range. This material stands up to dry heat, weathering, and many oxidizing chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils.
