Product Specification

-
S70MD442 is an AS568-442 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 7.225 in (183.52 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.775 in (197.49 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Silicone offers physiological inertness and low toxicity, flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. It resists weathering, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Exposure to concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, and food and beverage processing.

Reference part number S70MD442 when ordering; the item is sold individually. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application.
