This o-ring is supplied in AS568-445 red Silicone 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 7.975 in (202.57 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.525 in (216.54 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD445. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Silicone is specified here for very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. It resists extreme heat and cold, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).
