-447 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Part number S70MD447 is an AS568-447 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 8.975 in (227.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.525 in (241.94 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is specified for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and very good compression set resistance across its range. This material stands up to dry heat, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics and electrical enclosures, and sanitary process lines.
