-450 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70MD450 is an AS568-450 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 10.475 in (266.07 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.025 in (280.04 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

This material stands up to extreme heat and cold, dry heat, and many oxidizing chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is valued for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where abrasive dynamic service or concentrated acids are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include electronics and electrical enclosures, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food and beverage processing.
