-451 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

S70MD451 is an AS568-451 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 10.975 in (278.77 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.525 in (292.74 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The compound resists weathering, ozone and UV exposure, and extreme heat and cold. Silicone is widely chosen for very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Applications involving abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils call for a different compound.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across sanitary process lines, food and beverage processing, and ovens and heated equipment.
