APG stocks the S70MD453, an AS568-453 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 11.975 in (304.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.525 in (318.14 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, Silicone is specified for very good compression set resistance across its range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to abrasive dynamic service or hydrocarbon fuels and oils will shorten service life.
