-457 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Part number S70MD457 is an AS568-457 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 13.975 in (354.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.525 in (368.94 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and very good compression set resistance across its range. The compound resists many oxidizing chemicals, ozone and UV exposure, and dry heat. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in ovens and heated equipment, electronics and electrical enclosures, and food and beverage processing.
