Ordered as S70MD464, this is an AS568-464 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 17.455 in (443.36 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 18.005 in (457.33 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and dry heat. Silicone is valued for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. You will find this material specified across ovens and heated equipment, food and beverage processing, and sanitary process lines.
