The S70MD472 is an AS568-472 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 22.94 in (582.68 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 23.49 in (596.65 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to weathering, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone offers an exceptionally wide service temperature range and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include medical devices, electronics and electrical enclosures, and sanitary process lines.
