-904 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-904 red Silicone 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 0.351 in (8.92 mm), a cross section of 0.072 in (1.83 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.495 in (12.57 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD904. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Silicone is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. It resists dry heat, ozone and UV exposure, and many oxidizing chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service are present.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and sanitary process lines.
