Product Specification

-
Ordered as S70MD908, this is an AS568-908 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.644 in (16.36 mm), a cross section of 0.087 in (2.21 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.818 in (20.78 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Silicone offers an exceptionally wide service temperature range and excellent electrical insulating properties. Expect good resistance to many oxidizing chemicals, extreme heat and cold, and dry heat. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range.

The compound is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include electronics and electrical enclosures, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and ovens and heated equipment.

S70MD908 ships individually. Application requirements vary, so validate compatibility with your process conditions prior to installation.
