The S70MD910 is an AS568-910 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.755 in (19.18 mm), a cross section of 0.097 in (2.46 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.949 in (24.1 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.
Expect good resistance to ozone and UV exposure, many oxidizing chemicals, and dry heat. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is widely chosen for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.
This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include electronics and electrical enclosures, sanitary process lines, and food and beverage processing.
Reference part number S70MD910 when ordering; the item is sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 5/8 inch. Confirm chemical compatibility, pressure and temperature against your own application requirements before installing. For a size or compound outside the standard catalog, APG can quote from a print or sample.
