This o-ring is supplied in AS568-911 red Silicone 70 Shore A with an inside diameter of 0.863 in (21.92 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.095 in (27.81 mm), catalogued under part number S70MD911. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Silicone is specified here for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures and excellent electrical insulating properties. Expect good resistance to extreme heat and cold, ozone and UV exposure, and dry heat. Rated temperature range runs from -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or steam above its rated range are present.
