APG stocks the S70MD914, an AS568-914 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.047 in (26.59 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.279 in (32.49 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Silicone is valued for flexibility that holds at very low temperatures, physiological inertness and low toxicity. This material stands up to extreme heat and cold, weathering, and ozone and UV exposure. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or steam above its rated range will shorten service life.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include ovens and heated equipment, food and beverage processing, and electronics and electrical enclosures.
