The S70MD916 is an AS568-916 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.403 in (35.64 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Silicone is specified here for very good compression set resistance across its range and exceptionally wide service temperature range. Expect good resistance to ozone and UV exposure, weathering, and dry heat. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where steam above its rated range or abrasive dynamic service are present.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include electronics and electrical enclosures, ovens and heated equipment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
