-918 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

The S70MD918 is an AS568-918 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.355 in (34.42 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.587 in (40.31 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to dry heat, extreme heat and cold, and weathering. Silicone is known for excellent electrical insulating properties and very good compression set resistance across its range. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving hydrocarbon fuels and oils or abrasive dynamic service call for a different compound.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include electronics and electrical enclosures, sanitary process lines, and ovens and heated equipment.
