APG stocks the S70MD924, an AS568-924 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.72 in (43.69 mm), a cross section of 0.118 in (3 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.956 in (49.68 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Silicone is specified here for excellent electrical insulating properties and flexibility that holds at very low temperatures. The material holds up against dry heat, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -80°F (-62.2°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service are present.
