0285S515 is a black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 50 Shore A O-Ring Cord Stock with a cross section of 0.515 in (13.1 mm). In service, this o-ring cord stock supports field repair of oversized or non-standard sealing grooves without a special tooling charge.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified here for good resilience across a moderate temperature band and dependable general-purpose sealing in exposed installations. It resists refrigerants and ammonia, mild acids, and moderate petroleum oil exposure. Exposure to strong oxidizing acids or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
