Ordered as H50217, this is an AS568-217 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.449 in (36.8 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists many alcohols, water, and greases and lubricants. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones or automotive brake fluid.
