Part number H70MD008 is an AS568-008 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.176 in (4.47 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.316 in (8.03 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists water, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer.
