H70MD148 is an AS568-148 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.737 in (69.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.943 in (74.75 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to hydraulic fluids, petroleum-based oils, and water. Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for strong abrasion and tear resistance, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving polar solvents or ketones call for a different compound.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include fluid power, agricultural equipment, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
