H70MD215 is an AS568-215 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.046 in (26.57 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.324 in (33.63 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists greases and lubricants, water, and petroleum-based oils. Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs, strong abrasion and tear resistance. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving strong acids or ketones call for a different compound.
