Part number H70MD222 is an AS568-222 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.484 in (37.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.762 in (44.75 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for strong abrasion and tear resistance, most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. It resists petroleum-based oils, hydraulic fluids, and water. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. Exposure to ketones or polar solvents will shorten service life.

This o-ring is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. It sees regular use in agricultural equipment, general industrial maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
