H70MD229 is an AS568-229 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.359 in (59.92 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.637 in (66.98 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists petroleum-based oils, water, and propane and butane. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for low compression set under sustained load, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to polar solvents or ketones will shorten service life.

This item is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Typical settings include hydraulic and pneumatic systems, general industrial maintenance, and fluid power.
