This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-166 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile measuring an inside diameter of 6.737 in (171.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.943 in (176.35 mm), catalogued under part number SH70166. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for strong abrasion and tear resistance, low compression set under sustained load. It resists propane and butane, greases and lubricants, and hydraulic fluids. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
