This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-262 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile measuring an inside diameter of 6.984 in (177.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.262 in (184.45 mm), catalogued under part number SH70262. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The compound resists petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and hydraulic fluids. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
