568-006 BUNA 70 SQUARE CUT RINGS

This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-006 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile built to an inside diameter of 0.114 in (2.9 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.254 in (6.45 mm), catalogued under part number SH70006. It uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Expect good resistance to hydraulic fluids, petroleum-based oils, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) offers low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or polar solvents are present.
