This o-ring is supplied in AS568-047 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 4.489 in (114.02 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.629 in (117.58 mm), catalogued under part number H70047. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The material holds up against greases and lubricants, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for strong abrasion and tear resistance, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to polar solvents or strong acids will shorten service life.
