A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Expect good resistance to water, greases and lubricants, and many alcohols. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
