The H3X144.5 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 144.5 mm (5.689 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 150.5 mm (5.93 in). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to many alcohols, hydraulic fluids, and propane and butane. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) offers the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to ozone and direct sunlight or automotive brake fluid will shorten service life.
