H1.78X16 is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 16 mm (0.63 in), a cross section of 1.78 mm (0.07 in), and an outside diameter of 19.56 mm (0.77 in). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. This material stands up to petroleum-based oils, many alcohols, and greases and lubricants. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in automotive brake fluid or polar solvents.
