This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-170 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile supplied with an inside diameter of 7.737 in (196.52 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.943 in (201.75 mm), catalogued under part number SH70170. It provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and low compression set under sustained load. The material holds up against propane and butane, greases and lubricants, and water. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C).
